Last night we had such an adventure filled date night. They involved me being hugged by a strange man, a Superman doll being won, boots bought, D was called a lady, all you can eat shrimp, Michael Jackson's #1's, a UFO sighting & some Sonic treats.
I have family & friends that live in North Carolina. Some are in the military, so I know their health insurance is fine. But some friends went for awhile between jobs where they have no insurance. I'm sure that they had gotten some NC short term health insurance, until their primary insurance took effect. We had to go for awhile without insurance & I think I prayed everyday that we would be ket safe & well, so there would be zero medical bills. And thankfully we were just fine.
People are always on the lookout for whatever can make them the best that they can be. And I'm sure most are in such of natural anti aging products, especially in this day & age of "going green." Me personally, I don't really care if it's natural or not. Sure natural is so much better, but I am so not a label reader. If I like it & it's natural all the better I suppose!
When I used to work in the cosmetic industry I had to sell what was considered the best wrinkle cream. But the next 6-7 other make-up counters said theirs was the best all so! I'm not complete sure who's is the best. Their are some people that think the more expensive the better it will work. While others find that cheaper drug store creams work just as well, if not better. So what I say is find what works best for you.
I would love to find some good natural appetite suppressants. I don't think I have ever taken natural ones before though. I have always taken over the counter stuff, plus a few times I have used prescriptions. I have found I have always needed some kind of aide to help with weight lose. I wish I didn't, but it's the only way the pounds go away.
When I was little & thought it was "glamorous" to sit at a dressing table & apply a face creams. My Granny had one of those jars with that thick goop inside. I loved the smell. When I got to the age when I thought I was old enough to need face cream, I purchased myself a jar. I thought I was so grown up!
When I was a young teen, I didn't have to use any acnefree products. But I was very desperate to fit in & since according to the world teens have acne, I would get my Mom to me buy these products so I could use them. Especially those medicated pads...It makes me laugh now. But thankfully, I didn't need any of that stuff like so many do.
D & I moved back & forth from Alabama & California several times, I wish we had just looked into some cross country moving companies, instead of doing the moving ourselves. The last move back to Alabama was absolutely insanity. We had several tires blow out. The temperature that Summer in the desert was 114! And our truck caught on fire, but we didn't realize it until we were already home. Let's just say we were more that ready to get settled & stay awhile. We haven't moved in over 6 years & have no plans of doing so any time soon.
My husband & I are way overdue for a vacation....I think we need to get away to break up this monotony. We are in a rut....Maybe a getaway to some Orlando villas would be just the fix. We spent our honeymoon at Disneyland & have always said we would go to Disney World for or 10th anniversary....That's in May! Disney I hear ya calling our name.
I think I am still in a bit of shock that it is now 2010! Where did the time go? I hope to make this a year of letting go....Moving forward & not holding back. I am tired of being stifled, but my own apathy. It's time to take charge of my life & stop wasting time.
I am very proud to say that we now have window blinds up in every room of the house! It took a while to do so, but all windows are now covered. So goodbye sheets & pieces of material that was tacked up way longer than I am willing to admit! Haha! Now to get curtains in all the rooms. But I do have them up in the living room & kitchen.
I there was tons of led hdtv's opened on Christmas morning this year....But not at my house. Sure we wold like one, but I do not see us getting one for many years. We have several newer TV's & are not "in need" of an upgrade any time soon. I know there are some people who are electronics junkies, but are family isn't apart of the keeping up with the Jones's. And I am quite OK with that.
Christmas morning with 2 of my favorite gifts! Not pictured season 1 of The Lucy Show.
As soon as the holidays are over I am seriously considering finding me some weight loss products, to help get these pounds off! I am tired of yo-yo dieting. I loose a good amount & then gain it back. It's better to just stay overweight, than to have your body go back & forth so many times. I'm sure which route I may go, but go I will
My inlaws house is fitted with all kinds of medical equipment. It first began when my mother n law was taking care of her own mother. So one of the bathrooms had the lifted potty seat, along with a chair & handles in the tub. Then my mother n law's health began to fell even more after the death of her own Mom. So more medical equipment began to fill the house. We haven't been there in over 6 years so I can't even begin to imagine what all is in that house now.
A few Christmas' ago Mom got a new kitchen sink. It still has not been installed. Last time I saw it, it was leaning up against the wall with books stacked into it! Now Mom is also in need of new counter tops & a kitchen faucets. Heck! She just needs a whole new kitchen! I would love to see her have a kitchen of her dreams. She deserves it. Plus she is an awesome cook!
My little business venture has really taken off in a way I never ever dreamed. I thought I would make a few ornaments this Christmas. But at the end of the season it will be well over 100! And if I could have left the order deadline open longer, I know there would have been even more. There were quite a few people who said they were going to order that didn't. I am wondering if I should look into some business plan writers. I have no clue where this little hobby is going to take me.
I remember back in the 80's & seeing movies & TV shows, were they had big industrial computers. They would take up entire rooms! I thought they were monsters. I wonder how an industrial computer would look now. Everything is so micro-mini these days. The smaller the better. So, I'm sure they are no longer the monster sized ones of 20 something years ago.
I love my digital camera & I take tons of pictures. I think I am needing a new micro sd though. I am running out of space on the one I have now. They always have some god deals on the during the Black Friday sales, so maybe I'll get a new one then. I just use it as a stocking stuffer. I love buying stocking stuffers....And I love to get them!
