I have just come across this blog and the bargains these women are getting at CVS is AWESOME!! I am now reading and studying all the ways they use coupons and ECB's to save major bucks on groceries and health and beauty aids! I am just blown away. I have already gone on-line to apply for my CVS card and there is a new CVS being built right now just down the road from me.

Business Cards

I have been wanting to get my sewing business off the ground for awhile now. I normally have a supply of work, just from word of mouth. But the idea of having a business card to hand out, is something that I know would be profitable. I don't want to be only known for alterations, but also for a wide variety of sewing endeavors & other creations.
I needed to come up with a logo design & found a site to help in the process. The site made creating my card a breeze. Plus they offered a large variety of logos & allowed me to change things up easily. I love how my new business card looks!

Recline

With the issues I have with my back, there is always room for something that could ease the pain & stress. Have you ever heard of a zero gravity recliner? I haven't until recently & boy, are they sweet! I could definitely use one of these comfy chairs. I think I need to start saving my money & possibly investing in one. I know several people, who could benefit from the ease of one of these recliners.

Need a nassage?

I have seen several massage therapy schools in the area & even know a few people who attend or have attended them. I wish I could give a good massage, but my hands get way too tired, too quickly. There isn't anything like a good message though. And some people are just naturally gifted in the area. I remember Phoebe on Friends and all of her adventures as a massage therapist. I'm sure they all have some stories to tell.

Stocks & such

I honestly have no clue about stocks & bonds, and what exactly do commodity brokers do? It is definitely a world of the unknown to me & anything to do with numbers, I just go blank. Me & numbers just don't compute. I wish I were better with math. And I would love to know more about the Nasdaq & all that the stock market has going on.

Software

I don't require any of these big time softwares on my pc. But most businesses do. Here's one that has tons of things to offer like...

FIFTIES PARTY!

Tonight at Church we had a Nifty Over Fifty 50's Party! We all came dressed as we would in the 50's. Danny and I were just kids in the days (under the age of nine ) and if I had of dressed like I did then I would have had on a cute little plaid school dress with bobby pins in my hair so I dressed as if I would have been a teenager. We had alot of fun and alot of food. We had all sent in pictures of ourselves in the 50's and we played a game where we had to try an guess who everybody was. We also had 50;s music and they would play a little of a song and then we had to guess the name of the song. We all had our pictures made trying to hola-hoop. Who says you can't have fun after 50. I'm enjoying life more now after 50 than I did in my 30's and 40's.

MERCY,MERCY,MERCY!!

Mercy spent the night with Poppa and I last night, so I had the honor of getting her up this morning and get her ready for school. After she finishes her breakfast I walk into the room with her clothes and a hairbrush so that I can get her ready. She spots the brush in my hand and she raises her hand up at me (talk to the hand) and says:
Mercy: "You can't fix my hair!"
Me: "WHAT?"
Mercy: "You can't fix my hair. You can't even fix your own hair!"
Me: "Who told you that?"
Mercy: With her head hanging down: "Nobody!"
Me: "Did Mommy say that?"
Mercy: "No."
Then I commence to name off everybody one by one. After every name she replies: "No." I then said, "Who told you that?"
Mercy: "NOBODY!"

Franchise Baby

As a kid we went on a trip north & I remember a McDonald's that was completely retro'd out. I was in hog heaven. They even have a '57 Chevy in the middle of the restaurant.
Not long after that a local McDonald's was built & it have an Old Hollywood theme, including a yellow brick road. I can remember Mom explaining to me that different people owned these unique McDonald's. There were still part of the franchise, but the owners could decorate them the way they wanted. I thought that would be fun to own a McDonald's someday & make it my own!

Zitty Zit Zit

Thankfully I was blessed with good skin. Something I don't take for granted. I hate when I do get the occasional pimple. I would like to find an acne treatment that I could use when I feel one coming on. Something that would dry it out or heal it before it gets bad. I always remember that episode of The Wonder Years when Kevin got that really bad zit! I feel like that. Hahaha! Oh, I sure miss that show.

I received a package today in the mail from someone very SPECIAL to me. When I opened it and realized what it was, I squealed like a little girl. Stackie sent me a GORGEOUS fleece Cherry blanket that she made just for ME!!! I LOVE it.

LED Lights

The other night on the way home, I was behind a truck that had the coolest tail lights & even had a bar of lights that ran across the tail of the truck. I didn't know what kind of lights there were, until D told me that they are led tail lights. I have seen the led head lights for years, but had no clue that there were tail lights too. But I guess if there led Christmas lights, there are gonna be some tail lights also.
