I just finished my first knitting project which is a pink and gray scarf, which I have always known as and still call a MUFFLER!! I knitted two yarns together at the same, a pale pink yarn and a mingled gray & white yarn. I love the way it came out. So PROUD of myself. Crystal says it matches my hair. I already have a second project started but am fixing to start a third. I am ADDICTED!!!

How cool. I'm glad you are learning this trade. Maybe you can teach me one day... Of course I would have to move back to 'bama for that... but anyway- my grandmaw is very talented in this area... she is great with sewing and knitting and crochet (sp?) and quilt making... if I lived closer to home I would be learning all these trades. I should have learned them as a teenager, but I took her for granted.
Thanks for the comment on my blog. I want to try one of the new style of cloth diapers, but hate paying $14.00 for one diaper. But one pack of diapers that last me one week is about that much!!! Its just hard to pay much... like I said if we have another baby- I will have to go with Cloth Diapers! There is just no way! My mom said its not that bad- she said she would keep us in cloth diapers at home and in pampers like diapers when we were out. So I may try that. I've been looking at them on ebay- they have this kind that has a pad like insert that you use and then you don't use a cover because the outside is made of the same stuff a cover is. And now there are NO PINS! Just snaps! So that sounds great! I will let you know if I venture into the world of cloth diapers.
