Sweet Home Alabama

Alabama, the name of our beautiful state means: "Here we rest"! It was named by the Indians. Don't know what tribe, but the Alabama Indians included the Choctaws, Cherokees, Chickasaws and the Creeks. Alabama became a state on December 14, 1819, with a population of 127,000 people.
